The Gothic cathedral of San Salvador or Cathedral of Oviedo is located along the Camino del Norte and is an important stop for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. It was built at the end of the 13th century and is one of the most impressive in Asturias. Walk through the cloisters and chapterhouse, then visit the Casa Santa, a pre-Romanesque building dating from the ninth century and now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
